DIY Baby Leg Warmers

I finally remembered to pick up those knee highs at Target! Great price too - clearence for $1.25 each - so I picked up 3 pairs. I figured I would ruin at least 1 pair in my diy attempt at the baby leg warmers.

Now let me set the stage... I am NOT a sewer. I mean, I know how to cross-stitch and my mother in law is slowly teaching me how to embroider, but beyond those very (very) basic skills, I am not a sewer. Seamstress... whatever. So, I found my sewing machine (yes found - it's been that long since I looked for it) and dug it out of my husband's side of the closet. After fighting with it for over an hour - something with the bobbin tihnging that goes under the needle part - I gave up. Not gracefully though, as it took all of my composure to not heave it across the room!

I decided, who needs machinery, I was going to hand sew them! And so I did! The stitch work is quite crude - but I don't care! It holds it together well enough and cost me a total of $1.25!!! Woo-Hoo!
